I am very glad that you are interested in fiding a tutor for your son or daughter. The experience they have can make a huge difference in their academic future. Finding the right fit is essential so I want to give you a little information about myself. I have experience tutoring students of varying levels in subjects ranging from math to science to English. I have taught remedial math courses at the college level and much prefer the one-on-one experience of tutoring to the classroom environment. I love to see the look on my students faces when they finally grasp a concept that we have been struggling with. Their sense of accomplishment will often provide the motivation they need to work further than they thought they could. Most children simply need time with someone who can guide them through their own learning process. And once they "get it", it's exhilarating.
